College of the
The Comprehensive Arts and Science
(CAS) Transfer: College-University program (formerly known as the
College-University Transfer Year) is a Certificate program offered at the
Burin, Carbonear, Grand Falls-Windsor, Happy
Valley-Goose Bay and Labrador Campuses. The program has been developed through
an agreement with Memorial University of Newfoundland; it provides students
with the opportunity to complete a suite of courses for which they will gain
credit from the College as well as from

1. two and three-year programs leading to a Diploma;
2. one
year post-graduate programs leading to an Advanced Diploma;
3. full-time, occupational courses leading to a Certificate;
4. basic literacy and academic upgrading programs (e.g., Adult
Basic Education);
5. career enhancement and personal development programs;
6. courses conducted in formal institutional settings, and courses
delivered in communities to meet local needs;
7. various skills training programs funded by Service Canada;
8. applied research and technology transfer;
9. courses
conducted in partnership with other institutions such as Memorial University,
the Marine Institute, community agencies, and the private sector; and
10. special
interest, hobby and craft courses on evening, part-time, or workshop basis.
