Visual Impairments
Students with visual impairments may require special education support including, technological assistance, and/or modifications to teaching strategies and environmental arrangements.
Students who have a moderate/severe visual impairment, i.e., meet the following criteria, also require the services of the itinerant teacher of the visually impaired.
1. Visual acuity of 20/70 or less in the better eye after correction, or
2. A visual field of 20 degrees or less
